Setting a Filter on a Documentation Chapter

You can set filters for most documentation chapters to constrain the number of model elements which appear in the documentation.

Prerequisites

A documentation chapter which supports the selection filter is selected.

Context

Chapters which have a filter only appear in documentation if the model element affected also meets this filters requirements.

How to proceed
  1. Select the documentation chapter which you want to set a filter for in the Documentation Structures view in the configuration editor.
  2. Select Edit>Properties.

    The dialog box of the same name appears.

  3. Jump to the Paragraph Format tab.

    If you can set filters for this chapter you will be able to see the "Filter..." entry as the last entry in the list.

  4. Select the "Value" column in the respective row and select the filter you want from the drop-down list on the right.

    The selected filter is shown as a value in the list.

  5. Confirm your changes with Apply.

    The filter is activated. The chapter has a filter icon next to it in the left-hand area of the configuration editor.
